*”Messianic” religious groups are Christian groups who adopt certain Jewish practices in an attempt to practice an earllier, purer, form of Christianity, and often focus (usually unsuccessfully) on converting Jews to Christianity, a practice considered highly offensive by many followers of Judaism.
